Why Valencia is undervalued for padel travel

Valencia sits between Spain's biggest two cities and is consistently overlooked by international padel travellers — which is exactly what makes it work. The padel scene is strong, with high-quality venues spread across the city and along the coast, but court availability is much easier than Marbella, prices are noticeably lower, and the city itself is a brilliant short-break destination: Mediterranean beach, exceptional food (it's the home of paella), modernist architecture and a confident, unhurried atmosphere.

What a Valencia padel weekend looks like

Most groups treat Valencia as a three- or four-night trip — fly in Thursday or Friday, play padel daily across two or three venues, eat at long lunches in the Russafa district, walk along Malvarrosa beach in the evenings, and finish with a Sunday morning game before flying home. It's a destination that rewards a short, intense visit and is one of our most-recommended formats for first-time international padel trips.

Best time to travel

April–June and September–October are ideal. Court conditions are excellent, temperatures sit between pleasant and warm, and the city is at its most enjoyable to walk around. Summer is hot and busy; winter is mild but cooler in the evenings — both work, with the right scheduling.

Who Valencia suits

Groups who want a strong city break with padel built in. Friendship groups, padel clubs looking for a weekend tour, couples groups, and corporate teams who want a culture-and-padel format rather than a beach-resort one.
